MyTimetable offers each student or staff member access to his/her personal timetable. It is also easy to link MyTimetable to your preferred agenda application, e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or your smartphone's proprietary calendar application.

Logging in

To save your settings, click 'Login' and log in using your account. When logged in, your personal timetable will be saved so you can view it again later.

Adding timetables

It is possible to add several types of timetables, for example a class timetable or a staff timetable. To add a timetable, click the 'Add timetable' button and select the timetable type you would like to add. Next, enter a search term or make a choice from the lists with filter options, and choose the timetables you would like to add.

Searching a group or staff member

To find a timetable, enter the first three characters of the group or staff member you would like to add. After this, the groups and staff members that meet the search criteria are shown. When searching for a group, entering the first three characters is useful if you already know the group name.

If you do not already know the group name, you can:

- Enter the first three characters of the domain: dbs(v), dem, dmc(i), dmr, doo. For DG and DT, tha\t both only have two characters, enter dg_ or dt_ (so including an underscore).

- Filter on school or department: if you select the department, all corresponding groups for this department are shown. You can only select a sub-department when there are activities for this sub-department.

Group or staff member found? Then click 'Add timetable' and the timetable will be added. Now close the dialog and your timetable will be shown.

Deleting timetables

Open the drop-down menu for the timetable and click 'Remove'. Some timetables might not be removable. Also, courses that are part of a timetable cannot be removed.

At the right bottom, a calendar is available which can be used to select the date you want to view. Using the buttons at the top right of the timetable view, you can browse through days, weeks and months, or return to the current day.

You can then use your Google Calendar on your Android smartphone when connected to your Google account.

With Google Calendar, there can be several hours between updates of your timetable. Please visit https://rooster.hva.nl/m for an up-to-date timetable.

5.    FAQsGo to the Table of Contents

I cannot display my timetable for the new academic year.

MyTimetable has a personal profile for each academic year. If a selection can be made between multiple academic years, then a drop-down menu will be displayed at the top menu.

Somebody else has subscribed to my online calendar. How can I reverse this?

Each individual online calendar has a unique code. You can reset these 'personal links' by following these instructions. Note: Your old online calendar's URL will no longer work. You now need to reconfigure your agenda application and/or smartphone.

All my classes start one or more hours too late or too early.

Your time zone may be configured incorrectly. Click the 'Settings' option in the top right corner of the MyTimetable screen and make sure the time zone is set correctly.

How often is the iCalendar subscription updated?

This depends on the application you use. Google Calendar updates the timetable about every 6 hours, Microsoft Outlook updates every hour and for Apple Calendar you can configure the update interval yourself. In case you want to force an update by re-adding the subscription to your agenda, you should first reset your personal links.

My timetable in Outlook/Google Calendar/Apple Calendar is not being updated or is missing activities.

We advise you to reset the connection with the calendaring application. You can do this by removing the subscription from Outlook (right click on the timetable and choose 'delete'), Apple Calendar (right click on the timetable and choose 'Delete') or Google Calendar (go to 'Settings' > 'Calendars' and choose 'Unsubscribe'). Then, in MyTimetable, reset your personal subscription links. Now you should re-add the timetable to your calendaring application.

Can I subscribe to my timetable with Microsoft Outlook 2003?

Unfortunately, Microsoft Outlook 2003 does not support subscribing to calendars. You can, however, import your timetable manually. Please follow these instructions.

I cannot see my timetable for the new academic year in my online calendar.

MyTimetable has a personal profile and online calendar for each academic year. Select the correct academic year from the drop-down menu at the top of your profile and re-export your timetable.

Click the 'Settings' option in the top right corner of the MyTimetable screen and open the tab 'Applications'. Now, click the reset link to reset your personal links. Note: Your old online calendar's URL will no longer work. You now need to reconfigure your agenda application and/or smartphone.
